After the success of LEGO Batman 2:DC Super Heroes and Lord of the Rings in 2012, another superhero game from LEGO obviously made sense. With DC already being covered, it was not hard to zero in on which super heroes LEGO will cover next, and the answer is your favourite globe saving Marvel characters, featuring in the LEGO series for the first time.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment along with TT Games, The LEGO Group and Marvel Entertainment recently announced that Marvel LEGO Super Heroes will be available beginning Fall 2013 for the Xbox 360, PS 3, Wii U systems and Windows PC, as well as the Nintendo DS, 3DS and PS Vita handheld systems. The game will be covering the main Avengers team along with Spiderman, Wolverine and other heroes to save the world from the leeches of Galactus and Loki. The game characters take most of their inspiration from the LEGO’s Marvel toy collection.

“We’re very excited to bring a myriad of classic Marvel characters to life in LEGO form for some fun, family-friendly gameplay in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games Publishing. “Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in LEGO New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe.”

The character pool will include over 100 unlockable characters covering fan favourites like Spiderman, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor, Wolverine, Galactus and Loki. Each character will have its own unique powers, and the game will span across many famous locations from the Marvel World.

For people who haven’t played the LEGO series video games in the past, Lord of the Rings is a must try. The Marvel LEGO Super Heroes is being developed by TT games and will be published by Warner Bros.
